The Livingstone Tanzania Trust follows best practice guidelines, as outlined by the Charity Commission and the Fundraising Regulator.

  • Our diverse and inclusive Trusteeship ensures all views are heard and valued.

  • The Director is paid £15,000 a year and the staff are not paid excessive wages.

  • We believe that those who agree with the way we work and are interested in funding our work will do so. We do not aggressively fund raise.

  • We are a responsible employer.

  • We believe in paying promptly for all services we receive.

  • We take the responsibilities that our donors place on us seriously, and ensure that funds are spent wisely.

  • All our policies and procedures are regularly reviewed by the Trustees to ensure we maintain best practice and legal compliance.

  • We all work from our homes which ensures that administrative costs are kept to the minimum.

  • Our accounts are audited by external accountancy firm.
