Progress on the demonstration plot 🌱

Sometimes the best way to understand whether a new farming technique is working is simply to pick up a handful of soil.

In our ChemChem demonstration plot, the difference we are trying to create is becoming visible: the soil treated with biochar and organic matter is holding more moisture and developing a healthier structure, exactly what farmers need when every drop of water counts.

Healthy soil is already producing results. The farmers are seeing bigger sweet potatoes, giving them practical evidence that improving the soil can improve the harvest too.

The demonstration plot is doing exactly what it was created to do: allowing Lead Farmers to try, compare and understand what works on their own land.

The important thing is that this knowledge doesn't stay on our plot, neighbouring farmers can see the results, discuss them and implement successful techniques and use natural fertilizers and pest control to their own fields.

Regeneration isn't something we are bringing to ChemChem. It is something farmers are learning, testing and growing together.
