Your gift will help grow more than trees. It will help restore soil, strengthen farming communities and create new opportunities for the next generation.
Why trees?
For farming communities in Babati, healthy soil is the foundation of life. But when heavy rains wash away fertile topsoil, the land becomes less productive, harvests decline and families face increasing challenges in securing food and income.
Through our “Trees for Life” project, we are working with the ChemChem community to change this.
At the heart of the project is contour farming, a sustainable technique that follows the natural curves of the land to slow rainwater runoff, prevent erosion and retain precious nutrients.
Trees and grasses planted along these contours help stabilise the soil with their roots, improve water retention and support healthier, more productive farmland.
We have established a community nursery which is growing the trees needed for this transformation, while training local young people in nursery management and creating opportunities for future livelihoods.

Visit our Enthuse page and select how many gift cards you would like to purchase. Each card represents a gift of five fruit trees.
Receive your cards
Mikuyu will arrange for your Christmas cards to be sent to you, ready to personalise. For each order, you'll receive your card(s) featuring a young sapling and the story behind your gift.
Share the love.
Write your own personal message and send the card to your chosen recipient. Each card includes a QR code linking to our Trees for Life project, so they can discover the difference your gift will help make.
