Farming For Regeneration - Update

We celebrate the successful completion of training of five ChemChem Farmers, the ward and village agriculture officers, and two employees of our partners Impact Lead Tanzania. They learned about “natural farming”, how different trees and crops complement each other and restore the soil to help boost production and reduce the need for both chemical fertilisers and pesticides. Their two week residential course at SJS Organic Training Centre was inspirational .

The next stage is to apply their learnings to a demonstration plot so that they can practice what they have learned before applying to their own land. The demonstration plot will then , in time, show what can be achieved and inspire others to follow suit.
